Like modern movies, it’s now popular to remake a classic. The Camaro, Challenger and Charger all came back from the dead. Here are a few more cars we feel deserve a remake.
Back in 2006, Lamborghini made a concept for remake of the Miura, their original V-12 car and arguably the most beautiful car ever made. We want it.
Most people speculated that the Toyota FT 1 concept was a design test bed for remake of the beloved Toyota Supra. The MKIV Supra is one of the most beloved and amazing performance cars of all time. A remake could certainly give the Nissan GTR reason to worry.
The RX-8 died in 2011, but the RX-7 lives on as one of the most coveted cult-cars of all time. Mazda’s been pretty boring lately and I don’t think anyone doubts the brand could use a new flag-ship sports car.
Pontiac Trans Am
We know, Pontiac doesn’t exist anymore. That doesn’t mean we don’t want to see the counterpart to the new Camaro that gets the full Burt Reynolds treatment.
VW showed a concept back in 2011 which had us all screaming, “build it!” Vans don’t count. We want a hippie bus!
We only recently lost the GT500 in 2014, and it certainly went out with a bang, sporting a massive 662 hp. We’re getting a track-monster GT350 next year, but we’re all hoping Ford will announce a new snake that eats Hellcats for breakfast sometime soon.
People have been speculating about the return of the Plymouth ‘Cuda since the Challenger was relaunched back in 2008. Although Chrysler hasn’t confirmed the project, there have been many rumblings of a secret ‘Cuda project. Although its unclear what brand the ‘Cuda would find itself under as Plymouth no longer exists.
